Strike Monsters: Starzer Prototype
Strike Monsters: Starzer Prototype is an early browser-playable prototype for a retro-inspired monster adventure game.
Explore a simple route, walk through tall grass, and trigger a real-time boss battle against Starzer, a cosmic Strike Monster with glowing energy attacks.
This prototype is focused on testing the core gameplay loop:
Explore the overworld.
Enter tall grass.
Trigger a monster encounter.
Fight Starzer in a real-time battle.
Return to the map.
This is an early build, so expect placeholder systems, rough edges, and ongoing changes. The goal of this release is to collect feedback on the map feel, controls, battle pacing, difficulty, and overall direction.
Current features:
- Browser-playable Phaser prototype
- Retro-inspired overworld route
- Tall grass encounter trigger
- Real-time boss battle
- Starzer boss fight
- Keyboard and mobile-style controls
- Early original monster-catching world concept
Feedback I am looking for:
- Does the map feel fun to explore?
- Is the Starzer battle too easy, too hard, or confusing?
- Do the controls feel good?
- Does the game work on your device?
- What would make you want to keep playing?
Controls:
- Arrow keys: Move
- Spacebar: Attack / interact
- Mobile buttons: Move, jump, and hit
This is the first public Strike Monsters prototype.
